Yes! A website I have been waiting for
Whoever came up with this website is a saint, and thank you Reed for posting it on your career service website. One Day One Job provides an excellent sampling of entry level jobs out there for the post-liberal arts grad. Unfortunately many of them seem to require more design and/or web programming knowledge than I possess currently... story of my life right now..., but the list gives hope and direction to my lost soul.

New Approach
Rather than ranting and raving about not knowing what to do with myself (which after one post, I'm already bored of).... I should become that source that I wish I could have found while I was in high school, college, or freshly graduated. Starting today, I'm going to post one person who's career I covet and along with information about how they got there (schools, internships, contacts, etc). I'm going to start with people with attainable positions. While we all wish we could be Ira Glass, even he admits a lot of why he got where he is today was a mix of being in the right place at the right time and sheer masochistic devotion (although his brilliance I'm sure helped). Someday I'll try and organize this better. For now bare with me. Hopefully one of the links I will provide will help spark a turn in your path.

What to do with your life?
How does one figure out what they will do with their life? I've always been envious of those people who have a directed passion. A passion that easily fits into a career. My problem is that my passions aren't singular. I like so many things, I have so many opportunities, I don't know where to go. This is, I'm sure, a contemporary technology soaked problem. A problem which only exists because we live within a societal structure that presents glimpses of its creative solution, in other people's out-of-the-box success. In a generation that grew up thinking we could be anything we wanted to be, where do we find boundaries? Where do we find direction?
So I ask the blog-o-sphere how do you or did you find direction?
Especially if you like or love what you do, how did you get there?
Was it by chance? Family? Research?
All ideas are welcome.
